Flinders offers fully integrated five-year qualifications for high-achieving students that enable you to graduate with a Master of Teaching on top of a bachelor degree. Education topics are studied in all five years of the double degree together with Bachelor of Arts topics in the first three years. In the final years you study topics from the Master of Teaching. In addition to your Bachelor/Master of Teaching you can also complete a Master of Education with a minimum of an additional semester of study. The Bachelor of Arts/Master of Teaching (Primary R-7) is a five-year double degree designed to prepare primary school teachers (Reception to Year 7). Students will study a range of Bachelor of Arts topics, curriculum studies and theories of education. Professional practice placements will ensure you gain the background and skills necessary practice in the school setting with confidence and competence. A languages strand can be completed for students who wish to teach languages in primary schools.
