The interdisciplinary course offers a high degree of practical learning content, both in lectures and seminars as well as in excursions, field exercises and internships. It provides comprehensive knowledge of processes, the dynamics and the structure of our earth system as well as the interactions between humans and the environment. The goal is to independently develop geoscientific applications and overarching relationships. Students can specialize in geology, crystallography, soil science, petrography, paleobiology and geochemistry, or combine several of these specializations.
