Sport is a rapidly expanding industry that intersects with education, culture, commerce, health and tourism. As an internationally recognised applied discipline, the Sport Development and Management Major is founded on the global growth in sport science degrees and sport management specialisations. It has three orientations. The Sport Development and Management major subject offers a practicum programme where students can gain real world practical experience by working with school or community sport organisations or undertake applied research in the NZ Centre for Sport Policy and Politics.
The minimum entrance requirement is the completion of a high school certificate plus satisfactory completion of one year s study at an approved tertiary institution, IB Diploma with a minimum of 26 points, GCE Advanced Levels: minimum grade of 8, IELTS of 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 80 (writing 20), CAE/CPE of 176 (with no individual band below 169), (PTE) Academic of 58 with no communicative skills score below 50, Academic Transcripts, Educational Credential Evaluators report (ECE), Proof of your identity.
