In this program Students may choose to enroll in the elementary-level courses if they have had no previous study of French or Italian.The intensive elementary courses are designed for students with some previous study in French or Italian, or students who have expertise in a Romance language (French, Italian or Spanish).The intermediate courses expand on previous study and introduce students to language and culture through a variety of texts oral, visual, and written.Upper-level courses address a variety of topics related to language, literature, and culture.Most courses are taught in the target language and help students develop proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing
