The program leading to the Bachelor of Arts in Spanish gives students a deeper understanding of the Spanish language, literature, and culture, while focusing on increasing each student's proficiency in Spanish communication. Students can specialize in one of three areas:Literature: primarily for students who plan to go on and earn a teaching credential or graduate degree in SpanishLanguage: designed for students interested in linguistics or language, or students preparing to teach SpanishCultural Studies: intended for students considering teaching Spanish in high school, working in the media, or international studiesOffered by the Department of Hispanic Studies in the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.
