This one-year Ontario College Certificate program enhances the student`s knowledge and appreciation of First Nations, Inuit and Metis Peoples. Students study culture and heritage, contemporary issues, Aboriginal languages, community development strategies, and Aboriginal law and government. Students have the opportunity to explore their heritage through a genealogy course. Courses in communications, computer applications and career planning are also included in the program of study.

This program is designed to assist students to further their education and/or select a career. Students entering the workforce can provide potential employers with well-developed learning abilities, a general knowledge gained in a wide variety of subjects, and a sense of personal and social responsibility.
