The Double Honours Degree in Economics and Law is a programme offered jointly by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law, leading to both the degrees of B.Soc.Sci (Hons) and LL.B (Hons). Economics and Law are, in some areas, complementary disciplines. Increasingly, experts will use methodologies from the two disciplines. Scholars and practitioners of the two fields have been actively examining the places where they meet. For example, most Corporation Law subjects in top law schools now include economic analysis, and economists working on public policy, such as competition policy, require a working knowledge of the supporting legal infrastructure. The programme includes the core of our Economics and Law degrees, as well as some other modules to allow students to explore beyond those areas.

Candidates with an A-level certificate will only be considered if they have good A-level results, including a pass in an 'A'-Level Maths subject (such as Maths C or Further Maths or Pure Maths or Applied Maths) and a grade of B3 or better in the General Paper (GP) OR SAT Critical Reading score of minimum 700 accompanied by a minimum GP grade of C6, An improved GP grade of B3 or better from another sitting can qualify one for application to Law, but only the GP grade obtained in the same sitting as the main A-level papers can be used for computation of admission points, written test and an interview, ACT of 8, A good pass in at least 3 Advanced Level subjects, Good passes in 5 subjects including English, Official transcripts, ATAR of at least 90, OP of at least 6, IELTS of 6.5 overall with 6.5 in Reading and Writing components, TOEFL ibT of 92-93 , MUET of 200
