The study course Ancient Near Eastern Studies is philologically oriented - as information access to the history and to the cultures of the Ancient Near East serve thus mainly the cuneiform texts. As a result, the knowledge of the three cuneiform languages Akkadian, Sumerian and Hittite is to be applied more intensively.
