The Master of Visual Arts is a practice-based research degree that enables visual art/ fine art graduates to explore in-depth a territory of personal interest in art practice. Emphasis is on critical enquiry through both art practice and contextual research. Visual artists may work with or through a host of practices, for example: painting, print, photography, sculpture, drawing, digital and moving image, installation, sound and performance.
Bachelor of Visual Arts or equivalent with a B grade average or higher in the papers at level 7 or above.You need to have completed one of the following to a merit standard in a relevant field: Bachelor's degree OR Graduate diploma OR Professional qualification equivalent to a 3-year undergraduate degree OR Professional experience equivalent to an undergraduate degree or recognised professional qualification.
Photographer, Animator, Graphic designer, Arts administrator, Printmaker, Teacher/university lecturer.
