The Doctoral Program in Clinical Research (KLTO) is hosted by the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Helsinki and belongs to the Doctoral School in Health Sciences. KLTO supports doctoral training in clinical and translational medicine by advancing the expertise and knowledge in the following key areas: epidemiology, etiology, clinical features, diagnostics, treatment and outcome, prevention and prognosis of diseases.
If you have completed or are completing your degree, an official transcript of records must be submitted to the Admissions Services of the University of Helsinki by the awarding institution, IELTS of 6.5 with a minimum score of 6.0 in the writing section, TOEFL IBT 92, a minimum score of 22 in the writing section, TOEFL PBT 580.
The Doctoral Programme in Clinical Research provides doctoral candidates with the qualifications for working as professional researchers, as well as for other demanding expert positions. The programme promotes doctoral training in clinical medicine by developing the expertise and know-how of the doctoral candidates in the key fields of clinical and translational research. The programme aims to aims to guarantee that the society, the universities and different health care units have access to well-trained and internationally competitive experts in different fields on medical research.
