Person and Society in the Contemporary World is an updated and expanded version of the former PhD in Social Psychology. Its purpose is none other than to analyse and explore the intelligibility of social reality and of psycho-social phenomena and processes in terms of theory, application and methodology. Thus, through its research lines, it deals with thematic areas that influence personal relations in today's society: the role of science and technology in the forms of social organisation, healthcare and risk management, identity construction processes, the structuring role of work, the social impact of sport, and gender issues are some of the phenomena that, without doubt, would be quoted by any analyst as being of special importance for understanding modern society and people's behaviour.
