The EdD in Learning & Instruction prepares students to become scholarly practitioners by transforming their professional interests and problems of practice into applied research problems. The Learning & Instruction doctoral program consists of 60 credit hours of study beyond the master's degree and culminates in the completion of a doctoral dissertation. Learning and instruction is the application of psychological principles and concepts to solve problems in educational and training settings. Our program examines individual differences, cognitive and social development, learning and motivational theory, instructional design, curriculum delivery, classroom management, and assessment through research and hands-on experience.
