Arkansas State University History

Arkansas State University also known as ASU and A-State is an American public higher education establishment located in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The university was established as First District Agricultural School in 1909 and was renamed to First District Agricultural and Mechanical College. The university was renamed again to Arkansas State College and subsequently adopted its present name in 1967. It currently enrols over 13000 students.
