University History

In 1894, University of Massachusetts Lowell was founded. It is a public research institution in Lowell, Massachusetts, with a satellite campus in Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA.  The university is the northernmost member of the University of Massachusetts system and since 1975, it has been regionally accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). The University of Massachusetts is one of the few public universities in the United States to offer accredited undergraduate degrees in programs like; meteorology, sound recording technology, nuclear engineering and plastics engineering. It was the first public university to offer a degree in music education.

Lowell (Main Campus)-

University of Massachusetts Lowell is located in the historic mill city of Lowell, USA just 45-minutes north of Boston.
