The American University is a rising world Leader Scholarship is targeted to high-achieving international students who wish to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree within us and who are dedicated to the positive civic and social amendment. It is meant for college students who are going to be to returning home to enhance under-resourced, underserved communities in his/her home country.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Preference will be given to:
International students who have overcome numerous obstacles and challenges furthermore as those from numerous and underrepresented world and socioeconomic backgrounds.
A minimum 3.8 standard equivalent (or within the high 100% of graduating class) for 9th-12th grades.
A demonstrated commitment to leadership, volunteerism, community service and to advancing the requirements of individuals in their home country.
Students with a 95+ TOEFL iBT, 7.0+ IELTS, 600+ paper-based TOEFL (taken on or prior to May 31, 2017), or sub-scores of 24+ on the paper-based TOEFL (Taken after 31 May 2017).
Students who are still registered in secondary/high College and graduating by June 2019.
Important: Students within the IB system should decide to graduate with a full IB diploma with a minimum of 3 HL subjects. Students studying within the British A-Levels system should complete a minimum of 3 A levels and end13 years of study before August 2019.
You are NOT eligible to apply if:
You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or dual national of the U.S. and another country.
You are registered in or have already begun any post-secondary studies at another university in your home country or the United States.
You graduated secondary school prior to 2017.
Value
The American University rising international Leader scholarship covers all billable AU expenses (full tuition, room and board). The scholarship doesn't cover non-billable expenses like obligatory insurance, books, airline tickets and miscellaneous expense.

Validity
It is renewable for a total of four years of undergraduate study, based on continued satisfactory academic performance.
