The Aker Scholarship was established in 2015 by the 'Anne Grete Eidsvig and Kjell Inge Røkke Charitable Foundation for Education’ in cooperation with Aker ASA. Its aim is to give talented and ambitious young students the opportunity to gain knowledge, inspiration, and experience by taking postgraduate degrees at the world's leading universities. Since last year it has offered scholarships at universities in the UK (Cambridge, Oxford, and Imperial College), the USA (Caltech, MIT, Harvard, Stanford, Penn) and Singapore (National University of Singapore).
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Candidates should apply directly to the Aker Scholarship in the year before that in which they wish to start their studies in Cambridge, and should also apply to the University of Cambridge by one of the two general courses.
Value
Variable, but sufficient to ensure that the full cost of study at the University of Cambridge is covered.
