Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for Young Researchers offers scholarships for the students who are the citizens and current residents of the European Neighborhood to facilitate short-term visits to conduct research and build research contacts at the Universities of Coimbra Group. Students from Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan are eligible to contest for the scholarship however additional terms apply based on the field of Research and the Universities of the Coimbra Group.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant
• Should be a current academic staff member of a university or be a post-doctoral or equivalent position as few universities may provide opportunities to post doctrol students
• Should be born on or after 1 January 1984
• Should be a national or resident of Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, the Palestinian Authority, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan
• Should apply only to one university.
How to Apply:
• Students can apply for the scholarship by submitting the online application form on the Coimbra Group web site: www.coimbra-group.eu/activities/scholarships.
• Proof of acceptance provided by the host professor, who is willing to supervise the applicant’s research during the stay at the University of Coimbra group, must be attached along with the application otherwise the application will be considered invalid.
• The applicant will receive a message from the Coimbra Group upon validation of the application within two weeks after applying.
• The applicant should contact
[email protected] upon non-receipt of such a message no later than two weeks after applying.
• Upon successful review of the application, the host university will send the letter of offer to the applicant.
