Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
To be an eligible applicant should fulfill the below criteria:
1st years: Enroll in the Bull City Scholars/Durham Middle School outreach house course in the spring semester of the 1st year.
2nd years: Take part in the Bull City Scholars outreach program at Neal Middle School for one or more years. Participation is required for 2nd-year undergraduates.
Be indulged in a symposium group (whether as part of a presentation, designing posters, preparing programs, etc.)
Organize hosting for prospective University Scholars during Interview Weekend in April for both housing and social activities.
Meet at least twice a semester with your USP graduate or professional school mentor.
Meet at least once a semester with the USP Director.
Value
The Scholars program covers the full cost of tuition, room, board and mandatory fees for four years of undergraduate education at Duke.

Validity
The scholarship is a four-year undergraduate program. All University Scholars are essential to maintain a normal course load each semester (four-semester courses). Continuation in the Program depends on the maintenance of good academic performance, as explained by the guidelines for all undergraduate scholarship holders at Duke.
