The Scholarship for Teachers pursuing Master’s Degree Programmes was introduced by the Education Bureau to award exceptional teachers to enhance their knowledge as well as professionalism.
Eligibility Criteria/Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant:
• Must be a Hong Kong permanent resident.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in teaching in local day school which includes primary, secondary and special schools with formal curriculum.
• Should have enrolled in any of the courses including STEM Education, Information Technology in Education, Language Education (Chinese or English), Chinese Culture, Value Education, Parent Education, Counselling, and Home-school education.
Note: Teachers who wish to apply for the scholarship for teachers should be enrolled in any of the relevant master degree programs offered by a local higher education institution. Other courses include Education and Developmental Psychology, English for Academic Purposes, Life and Values Education, Mathematics, Technology, Science and Environment, Special Needs, Giftedness and Counselling.
This scholarship is once in a lifetime award. An applicant who has already received this scholarship won’t be eligible to retake it.
Value
The scholarship awards HK$ 80,000 each to 20 recipients.
