The Gretchen and Warren Backlund Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen students pursuing studies at Iowa State University.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
To be eligible, an applicant:
- Should be a fulltime incoming freshmen students pursuing studies at the university.
- Should be a high school graduate of Westside, Millard West, or Millard North High School in Omaha, Nebraska
- Should maintain minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Should demonstrate financial need
How to Apply:
An applicant
- Must sign in to the scholarship portal at https://iastate.academicworks.com/users/sign_in to complete a general scholarship application at Iowa State University.
Once these applications and results are submitted, the received application will be auto-matched to the qualifying scholarships. Qualifying is an intermediate step between scholarship application submission by the applicant and selecting scholarship finalists by the University.
