MPOWER is offering one $5,000 scholarship, one $3,000 scholarship, and one $2,000 scholarship to women who are currently enrolled or accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program at one of the 350+ universities MPOWER supports in the United States or Canada.
MPOWER will nominate the winners of this scholarship based on The quality of the applicant’s written essays; the essays should demonstrate clarity of thought, compelling goals and vision, and superior writing skills in English. The candidate’s record of academic and (if applicable) professional distinction. The candidate’s ability/potential to make significant contributions in a STEM field that will benefit people and/or the planet; and the candidate’s track record and/or potential as a role model and advocate for women and girls in STEM.
Eligibility Criteria /Scholarship Guidelines
The student must meet the following criteria:
The applicant must be female.
The applicant must be enrolled or accepted to study full-time in a STEM degree program at one of the universities MPOWER supports for the remainder of the student’s undergraduate study and/or for a graduate degree program.
The applicant should have one of the following immigration statuses: For study at a U.S. partner college or university, valid student visas, Green Card (permanent resident), or DACA recipient status for study at a Canadian partner college or university, permanent resident or Canadian study permit holder.
Applicants are required to submit a short application and two brief essays!
