Annual Scholarship Essay Competition

The Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) initiates the Annual Scholarship Essay Competition every year for Nigerian undergraduate students. This scholarship is to challenge students to think critically and strategically to make a huge difference to Nigeria.

Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines

All students enrolled in their penultimate year at any NHEF Partner University are eligible to take part in the essay contest.

Students registered in their penultimate year are third-year undergraduates of a 4-year degree program or fourth-year undergraduates of a 5-year degree program. NHEF will verify the registration of each candidate with the University Registrar.

How to apply

One essay should be submitted per student. The essay must contain 200 words maximum which should include Title page, Bibliography along with the student’s id number, student name, and name of the university and registration ID number. All the interested candidate should send an email to [email protected]

Value
Grand Prize winner of the Essay Competition will be granted a cash prize of N100,000 with a year of paid tuition. The First and the second prize winners will be granted a cash prize of N75,000 and N50,000 with a year of paid tuition respectively.
