The St. Andrew's Society Scholarship funds three American students of Scottish heritage to study in Scotland. Funded by the St. Andrew's Society of the State of New York, the scholarship seeks "to promote cultural interchange and goodwill between Scotland and the United States." Dartmouth can nominate one applicant for this award.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
A candidate for the St. Andrews Society Scholarship must:
Be a U.S. citizen.
Be a senior graduating in the spring who can demonstrate the significance of studying in Scotland.
Have some Scottish descent.
Demonstrate academic achievement, accomplishments in extracurricular activities, and "qualifications which will enable [students] to be good ambassadors for the United States while in Scotland".
Have financial need.
Submit proof of application to their selected school.
Preference is given to candidates who have not previously studied in the UK.

This scholarship awards $ 35,000 USD.
