The Swiss Confederation provides Government Excellence Scholarships every year to improve international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and more than 180 other countries.
The scholarship is available to those who are post-graduate researchers in any discipline (who hold a master’s degree as a minimum) who are looking to move to Switzerland to follow research or further studies at the doctoral or post-doctoral level.

If one fulfills the required conditions, contact the Swiss diplomatic representation in your country of origin. The diplomatic representation will provide one with all the needed information regarding the procedure including application forms and a list of required documentation.
Value
The scholarship covers a monthly payment, exemption of tuition fees, health insurance, air fare, housing allowance, etc, as applicable.
Deadline
The deadline for the application falls between September-December, depending on the Swiss Embassy to which the applications have to be submitted.
