The George J. Mitchell Scholarship Program is a national, competitive scholarship sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance. Up to twelve Mitchell Scholars between the ages of 18 and 30 are selected annually for one academic year of postgraduate study in any discipline provided by institutions of higher learning in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines:
A Candidate for the Mitchell Scholarship Program must fulfill all the following criteria:
A Candidate should be a U.S. citizen.
A Candidate should be 18 years of age or older, but not yet 30, on September 28 of the year of the application.
A Candidate should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university before beginning study as a Mitchell Scholar.
A Candidate should have a competitive GPA, generally no less than 3.7.
