The Don Schmid Child Welfare Leadership Scholarship is awarded to one or more second-year graduate students who are majoring in Social Work within the College of Nursing and Professional Discipline at University of North Dakota.

To be eligible, an applicant:
- Should be full time second-year graduate students who are majoring in Social Work within the College of Nursing and Professional Discipline at the university.

Once these applications and results are submitted, the received application will be auto-matched to the qualifying scholarships. Qualifying is an intermediate step between scholarship application submission by the applicant and selecting scholarship finalists by the University.
