This Graduate Scholarship, starting May 1, 2019, is an award that is aimed towards international students wishing to enroll in a research-based graduate program at the University of Waterloo.
Eligibility Criteria/ Scholarship Guidelines
Must have a valid Canadian study permit, be registered full time, and assessed international tuition fees.
Recommended to students entering the first term of their research-based programs (i.e. Programs that require a thesis or research paper).
Must demonstrate “Academic Excellence” throughout criteria established by respective Faculty. For more information, contact the Department/program Graduate Coordinator.
Must meet the academic progress requirements of the program.
Must not have government or agency sponsorship nor should be in an existing International Master’s Student Award (IMSA) program. However, if you have been granted an IMSA award for a previously completed Master’s, you can still apply.
$2,500/term (5 terms)
