Students are encouraged to genuinely investigate the potential of photography as a means of self-expression and a vehicle for their ideas. Students will explore photographic techniques using a variety of methods and media. They will be encouraged to discover the creative possibilities of photography through four successive units of study over two years. Students portfolios will demonstrate understanding of different styles, genres, traditions and techniques through a range of practical and critical exercises, learning to use a digital SLR camera, as well as utilising Photoshop as a means to further develop and manipulate images.
A minimum academic standard equivalent to 5 passes at grade C or above in GCSE or IGCSE English Language , or an equivalent examination in order to be accepted onto an A Level course, Academic English 6.5 or an IELTS pass of 6.0 (or equivalent) or above in each skill, 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20 Minimum age requirement.
