An option for the outstanding student with an interest in a graduate degree is the Accelerated Master s in which students commence study for their master's degree in their senior year and have the potential to obtain a B.S./M.S. in a five-year period. Outstanding students interested in various aspects of animal science can pursue both the Master and PhD degrees within the Department. Students pursuing the PhD become members of the ANFS (Animal, Nutrition and Food Science) PhD graduate program and conduct their research under the guidance of an ASCI mentor.
