Program Overview

The objective of the Exceptional Student Education specialization in Special Education is to prepare teachers for the public schools. This competency-based teacher education major is designed to develop the knowledge and skills of observation, assessment, intervention and evaluation. Graduates of this combined bachelors and masters program qualify for certification in teaching areas of education of students with exceptionalities (ESE) and ESOL endorsement.
