Program Overview

Open only to NYU College of Arts and Science students, this accelerated dual-degree program allows you to complete your BA in English and MA in Teaching English in only five years. You'll receive a broad liberal arts education at the undergraduate level and a professional education at the graduate level. Starting your junior or senior year as an undergraduate, you'll complete fieldwork at a New York City school and take coursework toward your master's degree, reducing the number of credits needed to complete the MA and saving both time and money. Graduates of this dual-degree program are eligible for New York State initial teaching certification for grades 7-12.
