Program Overview

The MPhil-PhD Programme in Social Welfare (MPhil-PhD) is a research-oriented programme, with MPhil (Master of Philosophy) Stream and PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) Stream. Students shall submit a research thesis and pass the oral defence. PhD applicants with outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability / potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities are welcome to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.

Applicants should normally have a degree in social work or in a related field. Obtained a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university. TOEFL: 550(Paper Based)/79 ( Internet Based), IELTS(Academic):6.5, GMAT(Verbal): Band 21.
