This program is characterised by an exceptionally wide range of research activities reflected at all levels of its teaching programme. Academics in the department have cross-period interests in visual and material cultures; literature, medicine and science; gender and sexuality; colonial, postcolonial and transnational cultures; creative writing, life writing and performance; text, history, politics.
A Bachelors degree with 2:1 is usually required in a relevant subject area within the Humanities or Social Sciences. IELTS - 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in each skill / TOEFL - 100 overall with a minimum of 25 in writing and 23 in each of the other skills. A personal statement and a one page curriculum vitae (CV or resume) are required.
