Prepare for a major in Asian Studies by taking recommended courses to fulfill the requirements of a transfer degree. Asian studies provides an interdisciplinary approach to understanding the complexities and diversity of Asia and of traditional and contemporary Asian societies. Students gain a foundational understanding and knowledge of Asian civilization through courses in Asian languages, literature, history, arts, eastern philosophy, geography, economics, sociology, political science and more.The Associate in Arts - Direct Transfer Agreement (AA-DTA) is part of Shoreline's General Transfer program and is designed to meet the first two years of requirements of most four-year degrees.
