Gain a solid foundation in artistic development by exploring painting, drawing, printmaking, graphic design, illustration, photography, ceramics, sculptures and industrial design. Foundation courses focus on compositional design elements such as color, symbols and light as well as knowledge of media-specific materials and techniques. Portfolio presentation is emphasized, allowing students to be successful, whether they transfer for further academic study or continue to develop as an artist independently.
Once you complete your Shoreline degree, you can choose to transfer to a four-year school to earn a Bachelor's degree or continue to develop as an artist without pursuing a four-year degree.
