Program Overview

The Bachelor of Film Production is designed for aspiring filmmakers who want to turn creative ideas into compelling screen content while gaining practical experience across every stage of production. You'll develop technical and storytelling skills in directing, cinematography, editing, screenwriting and producing, graduating with a professional portfolio of film projects.


Curriculum Structure

Year 1

Your first year introduces the foundations of filmmaking, helping you understand the complete production process from concept to screen. You'll study units such as Introduction to Film Production, Screen Storytelling, and Digital Media Production, building skills in visual storytelling, camera operation and editing.

Year 2

In the second year, you'll expand your technical expertise and creative confidence through collaborative productions. Units including Cinematography, Screen Directing, and Post-Production develop your abilities in lighting, directing actors, editing and managing film productions.

Year 3

Your final year focuses on professional practice and advanced filmmaking projects. Through units such as Major Film Project, Producing for Screen, and Industry Project, you'll work as part of a production team, refine your specialisation and graduate with an industry-ready showreel and portfolio.
