The Bachelor of Business Law at Bond brings together the best of two worlds — solid legal training and practical business know-how. It’s perfect for students who want to understand how law shapes business, but don’t necessarily plan to practise as a lawyer: you’ll learn legal reasoning, negotiation, advocacy, and business strategy in one flexible degree.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1
In your first year, you’ll build a strong foundation with core subjects like Legal Foundations A and Legal Foundations B, while also engaging in Bond’s Beyond Bond program, working on Critical Thinking & Communication, Responsibility, Integrity & Civic Discourse, and Collaboration for Global Change. Alongside, you’ll begin choosing business electives that reflect your emerging interests — giving you a taste of business disciplines right from the start.
Year 2
In your second year, you’ll deepen your understanding of law through a variety of electives (you’ll pick from 10 law subjects in total), diving into topics that matter to you — maybe business law, contract law, or dispute resolution. On the business side, you can either continue with a general mix of electives or choose to specialise in a business major such as Management, Marketing, or International Business, enriching your degree with tailored expertise.
Year 3 (if taken over more than two years / part-time)
If you extend your study or take a lighter load, this year gives you freedom to round out your degree with more electives, including a combined‑faculty elective (law or business). You can also pick your remaining business courses or deepen your major. This adaptability makes it easy to sculpt your learning around internships, real‑world projects, or even future career goals.
