  • Year 1: Foundations of Business, Accounting and Finance Essentials, Business Environments & Markets, Introduction to Business Analytics, Ethics and Responsibility in Business

  • Year 2: Professional Engagement and Planning, People Analytics and Change Management, Law, Ethics, and Business Analytics, Data Analysis for Marketing Insights, Methods and Technology in Business Analytics, Business Internship 1

  • Year 3: Machine Learning and Data Visualisation, Artificial Intelligence in Business Analytics Projects, Extended Professional Practice, Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics in Business, Business Internship 2

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Work Placement Option:

    • A 20-credit point unit with minimum 100 hours in an analytics-related workplace

  • Internship Option:

    • Two separate 30-credit point units, each with at least 225 hours in an industry setting

    • Internships are aligned with students’ learning outcomes and supervised by industry mentors

  • Project Work:

    • Assignments involve real business problems with a focus on ethical analytics and stakeholder communication

    • Industry-led projects foster innovation and hands-on experience

  • Support Services:

    • Placement support is provided by ECU’s WIL (Work Integrated Learning) team

    • Students may also secure internships via networking or extra-curricular initiatives

    • Professional conduct requirements include police checks and immunisations where applicable

  • Industry Engagement:

    • Direct collaboration with business leaders through projects, internships, and guest lectures

    • Opportunities to work on data analytics problems across marketing, HR, supply chain, and finance sectors
