Curriculum Structure

Year 1 (ECU):
In your first year, you’ll build a solid base in both sport and business. You’ll explore Sport and Recreation Leadership & Programming, where you learn how to design and run sport programs, and Sport Delivery Systems, which gives you insight into how sport is structured and delivered at different levels. Meanwhile, Business Environments & Markets introduces key economic and commercial ideas, and Introduction to Event Management helps you understand how sporting events are conceived and executed. You also study Sport Organisation Management, which links theory with how real sport bodies operate, plus two supplementary units chosen to tailor your path from the start.

Year 2 (ECU):
During your second year, things get more applied and sophisticated. You’ll take Managing Recreation Services & Facilities, learning how large sport facilities operate, and dive into Sport & Events Funding and Finance, a unit that arms you with the financial literacy to manage budgets, sponsorships, and revenue.
