Bachelors of Business / Political Science and International Relations

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Griffith University Gold Coast Campus

Program Overview

This double degree is perfect if you want to combine practical business skills with a deep understanding of politics and international affairs. You’ll learn how global decisions are made, how organisations operate, and how policies shape the world — preparing you for careers in business, government, NGOs, or international organisations.

Curriculum structure

Year 1

In your first year, you’ll get a solid grounding in both business and politics. Courses like Language and Communication for Business and Commerce, The Purpose of Business, Introduction to Political Science, and International Relations introduce you to how organisations and governments operate and help you think critically about global issues.

Year 2

Year two lets you dig deeper into both majors. Business courses such as Business Analytics, Marketing, and Human Resource Management teach you to analyse data and understand organisational behaviour, while political science courses like Political Science and Public Policy and Security, Conflict and Human Rights explore how policies are made and international issues are addressed.

Year 3

In your third year, you start applying what you’ve learned. Business units like International Business or Logistics and Supply Chain Management give insight into global markets, while political science courses such as Foreign Policy and Globalisation or Comparative Political Institutions help you interpret international affairs. Group projects and research assignments at this stage also build teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Year 4

The final year is all about refining your knowledge and preparing for the future. You can focus on areas that match your career goals, whether that’s business strategy, sustainable business, entrepreneurship, or advanced political analysis, and complete electives that strengthen your expertise for life after graduation.
