Program Overview

In addition to teacher education degrees, the Institute of Early Childhood offers the opportunity to study a range of units that will enable you to major in early childhood studies. This major is not a teaching qualification, but may supplement your study or experience in other social sciences including behavioural science, psychology and sociology. You will study the development of children with a focus on young children's learning and experience of the arts, literacy, mathematics, social inclusion, science and technology.

IELTS of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, GCE A level with 2 passes, IB of 18, Higher Secondary Certificate (Year 12), 50% average in best 4 academic subjects, OWA of 55-66%, Completion of WASSC/SSC with B grade average in 5 relevant academic subjects, ATAR of 75, HSC Mathematics General 2 (or equivalent)
