Program Overview

When children are exposed to positive educational experiences prior to school, their learning capabilities and in turn their chances of excelling in school are greatly improved. Quality early childhood education provides the foundation for reading, maths and science, and helps young children develop their social and emotional skills. This course qualifies you to teach children aged from birth to five years in prior-to-school settings such as childcare centres or preschools, as well as for roles in consultancy and professional development work in children s services. You ll have access to training through Macquarie s Mia Mia Child and Family Study Centre.

Additional Information & Requirements

IELTS of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band, GCE A level with 2 passes, IB of 18, Higher Secondary Certificate (Year 12), 50% average in best 4 academic subjects, OWA of 55-66%, Completion of WASSC/SSC with B grade average in 5 relevant academic subjects, ATAR of 75, HSC Mathematics General 2 (or equivalent)
