Bachelor of Engineering Honours in Software Engineering

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of New South Wales

Program Overview

Software is what we all use on our computers - every time you use your email, or an app, or a design program, you are using software. But Software Engineering goes so much deeper than that. It includes the design and implementation of specific, reliable, efficient and secure software systems for a multitude of purposes. Of course you also have to be able to write code if you're going to design a program to fulfil a need or solve a problem. You will learn about the processes, methods and tools for the design and development of high quality, reliable software systems. This involves the study and application of software specification, design, implementation, testing and documentation. The degree includes a series of workshops that enable students to work in teams and gain hands-on experience. To get you work ready, you'll apply these skills through 60 days of approved industry training.
