Program Overview

Biomedical science provides diverse career opportunities in areas including biotechnology, medical research and the pharmaceutical industry, while also providing a pathway into graduate entry allied health courses, such as physiotherapy and speech pathology, medicine or dentistry. In this course you will combine the fields of biology, pharmacology and medicine, as well as aspects of anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, immunology, cell and molecular biology, physiology and neuroscience. A biomedical science degree will teach you about the human body, its structure and its functions. You will learn the practical skills needed to explore the underlying molecular basis of acute and chronic illnesses, understand how to apply biomedical research and learn how to convey scientific and biomedical science information.

All Indian Secondary School Certificate, Units 3 and 4: a study score of at least 30 in English (EAL) or at least 25 in English other than EAL., IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 with no individual band score less than 6.0, TOEFL ibT of 64 with 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing, PTE Academic of 50 with no communicative skill score less than 50, CAE/ CPE of 169 with no less than 169 in any component
