Naturopathy today occupies an important and prominent role in the contemporary health-care system due to the guiding principles of disease prevention, encouraging the body's inherent ability to heal, treatment of the whole person using an individualised prescriptions, education of patients on beneficial health practices and in taking responsibility for their own health.
