Bachelor of Nursing Graduate Entry

2 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Queensland University of Technology

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Nursing (Graduate Entry) provides a pathway for applicants with a bachelor degree in any area other than nursing. Students are awarded the equivalent of one year of advanced standing (credit) and complete the course in two years instead of three. QUT was the first provider of tertiary nurse education in Queensland. Our course content reflects emerging developments in healthcare and nursing practice that have been identified through consultation with industry partners, discipline experts and research literature. Foundation studies build your knowledge in key areas of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology, and will introduce you to professional nursing practice and contemporary healthcare service. You will also develop an understanding of pharmacology with an emphasis on quality use of medicines. These studies are complemented with opportunities to apply nursing theory to clinical practice in our on campus facilities and in clinical placements off campus.
