Criminal justice is a generic term that refers to the laws, procedures, institutions, and policies at play before, during, and after the commission of a crime.Criminal justice reflects developments in legal theory, social science, and politics, and changes in legal systems. Criminology, scientific study of the nonlegal aspects of crime and delinquency, including its causes, correction, and prevention, from the viewpoints of such diverse disciplines as anthropology, biology, psychology and psychiatry, economics, sociology, and statistics.
