Curriculum Structure

Year 1:
In the first year, students build strong foundations in both business and justice studies. Business core units introduce essential commercial concepts through subjects such as Dynamic Markets and Financial Performance and Responsibility, while justice studies begin exploring legal institutions, social issues, ethics, and public policy. Students also start developing professional communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills that are applied across both disciplines.

Year 2:
The second year expands students’ understanding of organisational decision-making and justice systems. Business studies move further into areas such as management, marketing, economics, finance, or human resource management depending on the selected major, while justice units explore topics connected to Criminology and Violence Prevention, Investigations and Intelligence, or Policy, Politics and Social Reform. Students begin connecting business strategy with regulatory, ethical, and social justice perspectives.

Year 3:
During the third year, students start specialising through their chosen business and justice majors. Business majors may include Accounting, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Management, or Entrepreneurship and Innovation, while justice majors allow deeper study in intelligence, investigations, violence prevention, policy development, and governance. Learning becomes increasingly applied through industry-focused projects and real-world case analysis.

Year 4:
Students undertake more advanced disciplinary studies that focus on solving contemporary organisational and justice-related challenges. Topics may include strategic business planning, organisational leadership, public policy implementation, investigations, intelligence analysis, and social reform initiatives. The combination of both degrees helps students understand how commercial decisions interact with regulation, governance, and public accountability.

Year 5:
The final year focuses on professional preparation, advanced major studies, and capstone experiences. Justice capstone units allow students to apply theory to real-world challenges, while advanced business units strengthen strategic decision-making and leadership capabilities. Students graduate with interdisciplinary expertise that prepares them for careers in business operations, government agencies, policy development, investigations, compliance, and corporate governance.
