Curriculum Structure

Year 1:
Students are introduced to foundational concepts in both disciplines through core units such as Introduction to Business, Legal System and Method, and Accounting for Decision Making. This year builds essential skills in critical thinking, business fundamentals, and the structure of the Australian legal system, preparing students for more advanced study in both law and business disciplines.

Year 2:
In the second year, students progress into more specialised areas including Contract Law, Principles of Marketing, and Corporate and Business Law. The focus shifts toward understanding legal obligations in commercial settings alongside developing business strategy, organisational behaviour, and economic decision-making skills.

Year 3:
Students engage with intermediate and advanced units such as Torts Law, Corporate Finance, and Employment Law, gaining deeper insight into legal liability, workplace regulation, and financial management. This year strengthens analytical and problem-solving abilities in both legal and business environments, often involving case-based learning and applied business scenarios.

Year 4:
The honours-level law component begins to take shape with advanced legal study including Equity and Trusts, Administrative Law, and Company Law. Students also explore advanced business electives, building expertise in governance, leadership, and organisational strategy while developing research and analytical skills.

Year 5:
The final year focuses on capstone legal and business experiences, including Legal Professional Practice, Advanced Business Strategy, and a major research project or thesis. Students refine professional skills, complete applied learning experiences, and prepare for transition into legal practice or senior business roles.
