Global society faces a range of challenges, from growing energy demands to new and emerging diseases, the provision of adequate food and water, transnational crime, data security, and environmental degradation. Meeting those challenges requires both a deep scientific understanding and the ability to take that knowledge and apply it to real-world settings. This course combines a major area of scientific study with units that focus on the challenges and opportunities facing global society. Project-based units allow you to work in multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, practical solutions to real problems.
